Some Popular and Exotic Diving Sites for You to Explore During Your Vanuatu Holidays

When visiting a destination that comes with a bunch of islands, diving, snorkelling and other water sports are some of the best activities to enjoy. If you love to explore the world underwater, then multiple Vanuatu holidays will have the allure, which is very hard to ignore. Before visiting the islands, it will be better to gather some information about some of the most popular diving sites.

Homework is necessary while planning a vacation and knowing about some of these spots will help you to arrange your schedule to make the most of the available opportunity. The sites that should be at the very top of your list during the vacation are:

Twin Bommies
This site offers a wall and two “bombora” foundations which not only presents ethereal underworld beauty but also brings the chance to swim with different kinds of friendly fishes.

Fila Island Reef
Being true to the name it has been given, this dive site has a reef and one of the most beautiful and colourful collections of small fishes in different varieties.

Cathedral
This dive site is situated just off the Pango peninsula. It offers an underwater cavern which also provides one of the most impressive sceneries due to the unusual pattern created by the light. You can enjoy both the calmness within the reef and the vastness of the open ocean here.

Ollies Lolly
Another site that you should explore during your Vanuatu holidays is the Ollies Lolly which is also one of the most popular choices. It provides a beautiful setting for photography. The site is extensive, offers both soft and hard corals and a gaggle of small and large fishes adding to the beauty of the spot.

Konanda
Along with the beauty, this site offers one of the best and exciting introductions for wreck diving if you are interested in it. Even if you are not, the site of an island trader which can be quickly and safely accessed while diving is an experience to cherish. The vessel has been sunk to this spot in 1987 exclusively for diving purpose.

Start of Russia
This is another wreck dive and quite popular too. The ship sits 33 metres below the Port Villa Harbour and provides the opportunity to swim and dive around a beautiful creation. Made by the same shipwrights who built the Titanic, this one will transport you to another world.

Tasman
Despite being another wreck site, this spot offers a unique view and experience because the subject of curiosity here is a plane. More specifically, a Qantas S26 Sandringham. It has a wingspan of over 30 metres. The experience of seeing something so unique will be quite memorable.
